As part of our year-long collaboration with Bristol Post 16, we've been able to offer 6-week work experience placements at the Garden for young people who are not in education, employment, or training. In July, we celebrated another successful completion as one of our participants moved on to new opportunities.
In addition to diverse gardening activities, we've provided work experience in Roots Café, our kitchen and with local school children—areas that resonated with the interests and aspirations of this particular young person.
Here’s what they shared about their experience with us:
"I have a lot to thank the Garden for. I now have an understanding of what I’d like to do with my life. I’ve found it very rewarding and developed a good sense of self-worth."
