The Garden is suddenly blooming and we are really enjoying nurturing people’s wellbeing and resilience in such a beautiful, vibrant and welcoming environment.
Art Therapy The Art Project., an art therapy group for neurodivergent young people has come to the end of its eight sessions – we have loved getting to know all the young people and seeing their creativity in full flow. We are keen to run similar groups again in the future and are on the lookout for more funding!
Art Together, our art therapy group for people living with dementia is once again expanding in numbers – we are really happy to welcome the new group members and to support and celebrate both them and their families.
We also offer individual art therapy for children or adults – a couple of places have recently become free, so get in touch if this could be interesting for you, a family member, or someone you work with.
Art & Wellbeing
A local school continues to bring pupils for 6-week blocks of lovely art & wellbeing for primary children. Occasionally we get the pleasure of working with them in the school itself when they don’t have the staff or transport available to come to us!
Our Art in the Garden art & wellbeing group for adults is going strong and we have loved to see our regulars each week as well as welcoming new recruits – this group is open to all.
Other groups
Our YHH SEND-friendly holiday club was a great success in the Easter holidays; both days were fully booked and there was some healthy and delicious cooking in the morning and garden-friendly arts & crafts in the afternoon. We had some amazing feedback from the kids and parents about how much they enjoyed it, and lots of fun and fresh air was had.
Our new Happymess+ crafty play sessions continued apace in the holidays and on strike days – it was wonderful to see so many children hoovering up the art materials and creating some truly spectacular junk modelling, spring flowers and slime messes. We will be running these sessions again in future holidays, so watch this space!
