Bumper crops ahead?

We certainly hope so! Our staff and volunteers have been working hard to prepare and look after the veggie and flower plots in the garden. Wood chippings have been laid to help suppress those pesky weeds.

In the polytunnels, we have completed the pipework for the irrigation scheme which will more or less eliminate the need for manual watering, a never-ending task in the warmer months. Cropping has started with our delicious mixed salad leaves, harvested fresh for sale on Fridays and Saturdays. Much more to come in the next few weeks!
