Our Story

In April 2017, a passionate group of volunteers with purpose came together to turn a disused bowling green into a vibrant project called Redcatch Community Garden.

Six years later, with huge community support, it is a thriving space.

Redcatch Community Garden is a Community Benefit Society (CBS) with charitable status and a member of Cooperatives UK. A CBS operates on a not-for-profit basis for all purposes and has aims that benefit the whole community. It is democratically managed by its members and board. We seek to engage with and respond to the needs of our communities.

Redcatch Community Garden offers opportunities for engagement by bringing local people together to learn, socialise, share skills and experiences, and improve their health and wellbeing.

We are working towards promoting a healthy, happy and cohesive community by connecting with others, establishing a great awareness of where people are coming from and empowering them to reach their full potential.
