When I first moved to the area, I must admit I was a bit disappointed in the Park, but now with some other developments that have happened, I really enjoy Redcatch Park :) thank you! Xx

Getting through lockdowns...
stART has been amazing! A welcome break from the monotony of lockdown. The variety of projects we worked on were both challenging and achievable, so for an art novice like me, it was perfect. So grateful to have this at my doorstep.
Thank you for being there. It’s been a rough year for me and popping to you for a coffee and a chat has been such lift to my mental health. I can’t thank you enough xxx
I love this place. Always a welcoming smile, delicious cake and much needed coffee while the little ones have a run around. It's been a haven over 2020. Thank you sincerely to all involved. Can't wait for the new marquee!
Volunteering...
Working at Roots Café helped me to build confidence in working in a non-stressful environment. It also helped me to get out of the house more and meet more people in my local community. I was also introduced to more opportunities in my area.
I've been Volunteering at RCG since March 2019 and it's provided a great tonic two mornings a week when I could escape from renovating my new home. I've learnt stacks through helping in the garden, shop and workshops and made friends in the lovely community who work in or use the park and garden. I'm looking forwards to more great growing seasons with my mates at RCG.
I have been volunteering at RCG for a year and a half and during this time I have been able to put into practice the skills I have learnt whilst studying Horticulture, enabling me to gain 'hands-on' experience whilst helping out, learning new skills from the garden team and feeling part of a community. It's a win-win situation for both the garden and myself. RCG is like a family and I feel very supported, volunteering here has really helped my mental health and I love the encouragement, can-do approach and being part of the RCG team.
Party Hire - for all ages...
The staff were extremely helpful and everyone commented on what a great venue it was.
Thanks so much for the party. It was amazing!! Loads of people commented on how chilled out and relaxed it was! Kids and adults alike had a great time. Thanks so much for putting it on - it was absolutely perfect.
We had a great time! It’s a lovely space, Mike was really helpful and the children had a blast. I had some party games prepared but they were so busy playing in the wendy house that we did not even have to crack them out. No negative feedback whatsoever! :-)
We had a great time! Everyone commented on how nice the garden set-up was, and the bacon butties went down a treat! In the end, we didn't need the cabin but knowing it was there if we needed it was great. To be able to have a fun outside party even though the weather wasn't great was brilliant.
We thoroughly enjoyed a 60th summer celebration in such a wonderful community garden. How brilliant that not only do they run such a fantastic greenery enterprise but they also cook up home-made scones for a full cream and jam experience. And as for those corrupting teapots . . . Two cups-full of that Pimms and all I could manage was a sozzled stagger back to a stable bench!
I thoroughly enjoyed my celebration and, as you can see, my guests loved it too! Big thanks to all your team.
Redcatch Community Garden is an absolute no-brainer to hire for a children’s party. The outdoor location provides so much room for the little ones to run around in the fresh air and the undercover options are very handy should the weather not be on your side. The flexibility of being able to provide your own food or the team providing it for you is great and all charges for hire, food and activities are very reasonable. RCG is a massive asset to the Community, thank goodness the team had the vision to set it up and devotes so much time and hard work to make it the success it is today. Thank you!
Just wanted to say a big thank you for making my daughter's birthday party so special yesterday. The gardens are so gorgeous, and the kids had a ball. Michi was so helpful and having the tea/coffee facilities was an added thoughtful surprise. The community gardens are just brilliant, and you all do such an amazing job.
I recently celebrated my hen party with 8 friends here. We had a brilliant time, combining a tote bag craft session with prosecco and afternoon tea. Despite the rain, we were cosy in the cabin which was decorated for the occasion and Katie and the team were really friendly and helpful. I would recommend holding your celebrations here!

Thank you for the most wonderful session yesterday pumpkin carving. We loved your enthusiasm, energy and sense of fun, and so appreciated the wonderful preparation you all put into the session. We love the Redcatch community garden and loved being able to join in with the community again yesterday.

Thank you so much for hosting our environmental and community outcome day, we all had a fantastic time! It was great to support such a great community project and get involved in various tasks. Some of the team are looking forward to visiting in a social capacity but we’d love to come back next year!
It was really nice to help with such a worthwhile local community project. So impressed with the enthusiasm of the unpaid volunteers there and they really made us welcome.
We thoroughly enjoyed getting involved. Came away inspired and will be back with my family next time! Thank you so much for having us, I wish there were more community places like this across the country. Keep doing what you’re doing
We want to say a massive thank you to you and the team for hosting us on Tuesday. It was wonderful to be able to spend time together away from work, especially on such a glorious day. We were very impressed by the setup and what you offer the community. The tasks you gave us were great and made sure we had something tangible to show for our efforts, and providing a mix of activities so we could choose things that suited us best.
We hope to be able to come again next year and volunteer for the day. We have shared a small article on our day with you across the Environment Agency to spread the word on your success.
We had a really lovely time here at our summer party, very well organised with great food and entertainment! Would highly recommend for your next celebration. Counting down till next year!

As a small local business, I get a huge amount out of working with Redcatch Community Garden. Their space is perfect for my art and messy play workshops. Running the workshops there has greatly expanded my customer base, and I hope also brought new customers to the Garden. They are very open to new ideas and opportunities, plus friendly, supportive and professional to deal with. My customers often comment that they appreciate the Garden for the space it offers and the other services such as the cafe and plants for sale.
