Sophie Boyce Couzens
Wellbeing Programme Manager
I am Wellbeing Programme Manager, Theatre Lead & Safeguarding Lead at the Garden and I love how varied my role is.

As Wellbeing Programme Manager I liaise with families, young people, schools, education settings and many organisations to create sessions and placements tailored to the attendees' specific interests and needs. As well as co-ordinating, I deliver individual and group wellbeing sessions which include confidence building, arts projects, cooking, gardening, playing and general young person led activities. I also deliver the holiday clubs, working to make them inclusive and accessible for the young people who attend. I love working to create a space for people to come to get support, grow in confidence and make connections.

As Theatre Lead, I run theatre groups and workshops for primary aged young people on weekdays after school and in the school holidays . Once a month I run these for preschoolers too. We have lots of fun with movement, music and our imaginations! I am also really excited to be taking theatre workshops into the community, and we are currently partnering with a local preschool to deliver curriculum-based sessions. I love being a part of the many creative projects that happen at the Garden, and the opportunity to continually try new ideas to make this an exciting space for the community.
