Heather Peet

I joined RCG in 2020. I work part-time and I split my time between:

Writing funding bids to apply for grants to cover costs for our social prescribing, art therapy and cookery offerings, as well as Infrastructure funding, so that as much of the community can benefit from our amazing space as possible.

Meeting with other organisations who would like to partner with us, learn with us, or refer people to us. Feedback from these organisations (and from our staff, volunteers and customers) ensures that our offerings meet the needs of the community. I also sit on various city wide and regional networks and project groups so that we can increase our impact locally and increase our visibility across the city and region.

HR Administration and initiatives. I work with our outsourced HR organisation to ensure we have all our policies and processes in place.

 

I love sitting in the quiet for hours writing a big juicy bid as much as I love meeting other people from other organisations. But the best thing is working alongside the incredible, passionate team of RCG staff, volunteers, board members and contractors who, through their creativity, passion and drive, make writing bids and talking to other organisations such a pleasure.​
