George Dinsdale

Here at Redcatch Community Garden, I assist with the day-to-day running of Roots Café, help to run and manage various events and create some of the Garden's digital content. As a Marketing Assistant, I’m responsible for creating content for and managing the website, assisting with social media posts (including poster creation, filming, editing and producing video content and copywriting), putting together blogs and curating our bi-monthly newsletter. I also run smaller wellbeing events like our FAB Discos for Over 50s, monthly ADHD Women's Circles, themed Ceilidhs, and regular George's Marvellous Science Workshops for children.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity do anything I can put my mind to: from meditation classes for the whole family, to MCing at Silent Discos! I also help with seasonal pop-up food events, bigger events like weddings and christenings, occasional cooking and preserving (like jarring kimchi and chutneys) and providing additional support at our Welcoming Spaces lunches.
 

What I enjoy most is the variety of my role, as I get to wear many hats! Whether I'm organising fun community events or creating fun digital content, it's never a dull day!
