Two weeks ago we were proud to host and attend a meeting with the Defra Permanent Secretary, Tamara Finkelstein; CEO of Natural England, Marian Spain; Environmentalist and Chair of Natural England, Tony Juniper; NHS leaders and other key partners. RCG is a test and learn site for NHS Green Social Prescribing and we are working closing with the NHS to provide vital delivery and impact measurement to inform strategic decisions which we hope will led to further significant investment in this pioneering area. At Redcatch Community Garden we have long recognised and witnessed the benefits of being outside, connecting with nature, making friendships and feeling purpose. Running our Gardening for Wellbeing and dementia groups offers people who have been referred through social prescribing, or who have self-referred, the opportunity to benefit from being in our fantastic setting supported by our art therapists and volunteer team.
